Life with KERBY™: A Smoother Driveway Arrival

You know the moment. You turn into your own driveway, slow right down and still get that annoying bump at the kerb. After a while, you start anticipating it every time you come home.

That daily frustration was the starting point for KERBY™. The original idea was simple: make the transition between the road and driveway feel better.

Designed around a real Rolleston driveway

KERBY began in Rolleston, Selwyn, with a driveway problem we wanted to solve for ourselves. A fixed aluminium extrusion created a transition over the kerb, and that practical idea grew into a driveway kerb ramp system.

The appeal is in the everyday use. You want to come and go without the abrupt kerb hit becoming part of the routine. With a ramp suited to the entrance, the driveway can feel easier to cross.

A ramp that fits the entrance

The kerb profile, driveway width, drainage and approach all matter. A straight, level entrance has different needs from a curved or uneven one. The vehicle and the way you drive in and out also affect the fit.

That is why we ask for photos and a few measurements before recommending a configuration. A useful starting point is a clear photo from the road, a side view of the kerb and the width you need to use.

Keep the daily arrival simple

KERBY is an aluminium driveway kerb ramp system with installation and configuration options for suitable entrances. You can see real KERBY installations and read the driveway ramp FAQs before getting started.

We are based in Rolleston and work across Selwyn and Canterbury. Check the service areas or ask about arrangements for your location.

Had enough of that driveway bump? Send Clint a few photos and ask for a KERBY quote.
